Police Cadet Program

The Rio Vista Police operate in conjunction with the Sheriff's Office Cadet Program.

Are you interested in a career in public safety? If you are aged 14 – 20, you may be eligible to become a Police Cadet! Being a cadet is both demanding and rewarding. Police Cadets learn the law enforcement career field in a paramilitary environment at both the Sheriff's Office and the Rio Vista Police Department.

Prepare yourself for hard work, fun, and adventure! Discover qualities within you that you never dreamed you had. Make new friends who share your commitment to caring for the safety of others. Many of our cadets have already grown into careers as police officers, military, and other government service fields.
