Emergency: 911 (Cell Phone Users: See Note Below)
Dispatch: (707) 374-2300

On behalf of the dedicated professionals in the Rio Vista Fire Department (RVFD), I want to welcome you and thank you for visiting our website.  I hope that the following pages provide you with valuable information and guidance on the wide range of services and programs that we take great pride in delivering to our community. In carrying on the traditions of keeping Rio Vista a great place to live, work and visit, it is our endeavor as the Fire Department to provide a high-quality level of service, not only in terms of emergency response, but also in customer service.

As an “All Risk” public safety organization, we are motivated and committed to providing the highest level of safety and service to the community, and to those who visit or travel through our City and the community.  RVFD also provides service to the residents and visitors of the Delta Fire Protection District in Sacramento County under a long-standing contract.  While technically outside the City limits, we still consider these folks as part of our “Community” and remain committed to providing the highest level of service to the Fire District for many years to come.

I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the men and women of the Rio Vista Fire Department, as well as the Community as their Fire Chief.  I, along with all the staff here at RVFD, remain committed to our core values: Community, Honor, Integrity, Professionalism, and Service.

* NOTE for Cell Phone Users:

Not all 911 calls from cell phones are routed to the nearest emergency call center; many times cell phone 911 calls are routed to the California Highway Patrol first.  If you using a cell phone, your Rio Vista Public Safety services recommend taking the following steps:

Program the Dispatch phone number (707) 374-2300 into your cell phone.
Know your location when you call 911!  Not all cell phones and systems are able to immediately track location – the more information the caller can provide, the faster assistance can be sent.
