FUNDS AVAILABLE! TIME SENSITIVE!
On July 15, 2025, City Council directed staff to invite applications for the remaining Economic Development Funds (EDF) Business Matching Grant Program.
Up to three grants in amounts up to $1791.30 each are available for projects that will (1) have visual impact and (2) be completed by December 31, 2025.
For complete eligibility criteria, see the Guidelines linked below. To apply, submit signed Guidelines along with a completed application (also linked below) along with required documentation as listed in the application.

Preserving the sense of community and small-town character have been identified as core principles for Rio Vista. Economic development provides residents the opportunity to live, work, and shop in town. Economic development also enhances a strong sense of community as well as Citywide business viability and tourism. To catalyze economic development, City Council approved the formation of the Rio Vista Economic Development Fund ("EDF") to financially support projects that will improve new and existing businesses or commercial properties.
This is a one-to-one (1:1) matching program, with a maximum benefit of $10,000. An applicant/business can only be awarded one time.
Until the fund is exhausted, any new or existing business that has a project that requires funding that does not require a State permit, Federal permit, and beyond a simple City permit may apply.
