Rio Vista Delta Breeze Schedule Changes - Monday, August 2nd, 2010
The City of Rio Vista will be implementing the schedule changes effective Monday, August 2nd, 2010. All routes will experience changes to improve on time performance.Major revisions to Routes 50 and 52 to provide additional service to River Road, Airport Road and further improve running times will take effect in late Fall/Winter 2010.
Highlights for the schedule changes are listed below:
Route 50 - State Route 12 Express to Fairfield and Suisun City
- The trip departing Fairfield Transportation Center at 7:15 pm on weekdays will be eliminated due to low ridership.
- The trip at 5:30 pm will now depart Fairfield Transportation Center at 5:40 pm to improve connections with Route 90 and will serve Isleton on request.
- The on request midday trip will start at 12:15 pm at Rio Vista - Front & Main Streets instead of 11:50 am and Trilogy Vista Clubhouse at 12:25 pm. Please call in order to ride this trip or be at Front & Main Streets in Rio Vista. This trip will continue express to Fairfield Transportation Center with deviations allowed within a ¾ mile radius of either side of the route only.
- The trip departing Isleton at 4:20 pm on weekdays will now start at Western Railway Museum at 4:58 pm.
- The first trip in the morning on weekdays will depart Trilogy Vista Clubhouse at 5:00 am instead of 5:20 am and serve Solano County Government Center on request.
Route 51 - Rio Vista/Isleton City Circulator
- Operating hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday will be from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. (Last reservations - 2:15 pm)
- Operating hours on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. (Last reservations - 4:45 pm)
- Connection times to SCT/LINK on Monday, Wednesday and Friday will be at: 10:40 am & 12:40 pm, on Tuesday and Thursday, 4:20 pm, on school days, Monday-Friday, 6:10 pm. During these times, the bus will automatically serve Isleton without a reservation.
- After school service, Monday-Friday will continue between 5:15 pm and 7:00 pm when River Delta Unified School District is in session, starting August 16, 2010 and continuing until June 3, 2011.
Route 52 - State Route 160 Express to Antioch and Pittsburg/Bay Point BART Station
- The first weekday trip departing Trilogy Vista Clubhouse will change from 5:50 am to 5:40 am and the bus stops at Isleton and Hillcrest Park and Ride Lot will be served on request.
- The first weekday trip departing Pittsburg/Bay Point BART Station will depart immediately after dropping off passengers at 6:50 am or earlier and run express with no stops or deviations to Rio Vista at Front & Main Streets arriving at 7:30 am.
- The last weekday trip departing Trilogy Vista Clubhouse at 5:15 pm, will now start in Rio Vista at Front & Main Streets at 5:05 pm and run express with no stops or deviations to Pittsburg/Bay Point BART Station, arriving at 5:45 pm. Trips from Trilogy Vista Clubhouse are available on request.
- The last weekday trip from Pittsburg/Bay Point BART Station will depart at 5:45 pm, arrive Hillcrest Park and Ride lot at 6:15 pm, arrive Isleton at 6:40 pm, arrive Rio Vista at Front & Main Streets at 6:55 pm and arrive Trilogy Vista Clubhouse on request. This trip may also depart bus stops five minutes earlier than times shown once arriving Hillcrest Park and Ride Lot to the end of the route.
- The Thursday midday trip departing Trilogy Vista Clubhouse at 8:35 am and Pittsburg/Bay Point BART Station at 1:15 pm has been eliminated due to low ridership.

Rio Vista Delta Breeze Transit Service will operate Saturday Schedule on Monday, July 5, 2010 - Independence Day
On the observed Independence Day, July 5, 2010, Rio Vista Delta Breeze will operate its deviated fixed route services on a SATURDAY schedule. Normal service will resume on Tuesday, July 6, 2010.
The Transit Information Center at Suisun/Fairfield Amtrak Station will be open its normal hours from
9:30 am to 6:30 pm

New Fares and Policies for Rio Vista Delta Breeze Effective July 1, 2010
Effective Thursday, July 1, 2010, the fares for Rio Vista Delta Breeze will increase. In addition, there will be revisions to the Rio Vista Delta Breeze route deviation policy and Route 51 dial-a-ride policy.
The Rio Vista Delta Breeze Transit Information Center will be open seven days a week from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm, excluding Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Passengers requesting deviations for routes prior to 9:30 am or after 6:30 pm are encouraged to reserve these deviations at least one day in advance or ask the bus operator for a deviation.
Schedule changes to the Rio Vista Delta Breeze transit system will take effect on Monday, August 2, 2010. Additional details will be available by July 19, 2010 on the buses or online at www.deltabreeze.org.

New Riders to Eastern Contra Costa County Can Take Advantage of A Two For One Promotion with 511 Contra Costa
If you purchase one $85 Intercity Monthly Pass at regular price, can receive the second month free.
Route 52 takes commuters between Rio Vista and Isleton to Antioch or the Pittsburg/Bay Point BART Station. For San Francisco-bound commuters, avoid those new bridge toll hikes on the Antioch and Bay Bridges by taking Route 52 to the Pittsburg/Bay Point BART Station and continuing your commute on BART.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicant must:
- Be at least 18 years of age to participate.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Own or have access to a vehicle.
- Travel to, from, or through Contra Costa County on Route 52.
- Agree to complete a follow-up survey to determine the effectiveness of this promotion.
Program Rules:
- One (1) free monthly pass per household.

Solano County Intercity Taxi Scrip Program
The Solano County Intercity Taxi Scrip Program is a flexible option for qualified ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) paratransit certified riders. This service provides curb-to-curb, same day transportation for ADA Paratransit Certified riders who need to travel between cities within Solano County.
To be eligible, you must be:
- An ADA paratransit certified resident of Solano County.
- Ambulatory or able to enter and exit a taxi without another persons help.
- Your mobility device must be able to be folded for transport in the trunk of the taxi.
ADA certified passengers living within Solano County may purchase the new taxi scrip booklet for $15.00. The booklet is valued at $100.00. To buy the scrip and use this new service you will need to obtain an ADA Photo ID card from Rio Vista Delta Breeze as long as you are certified ADA. City of Rio Vista Opens New Transit Information Center at Suisun/Fairfield Amtrak Station
The City of Rio Vista through its Rio Vista Delta Breeze transit service in conjunction with Greyhound Lines, Inc will begin selling tickets and provide shipping services in Suisun City.
The agency is located at the Suisun/Fairfield Amtrak Station, 177 Main Street, Suisun City. Passengers can now purchase Greyhound tickets direct to Rio Vista, Isleton, Antioch and Fairfield from over 3,100 locations served by Greyhound through the interline partnership between Greyhound and Rio Vista Delta Breeze.
In addition, passengers at Suisun/Fairfield Amtrak Station can receive transit route, fare and schedule information about Amtrak, Capitol Corridor, Fairfield and Suisun Transit (FAST), Vallejo Transit, Rio Vista Delta Breeze and other Solano County Transportation options and alternatives. Additionally, passengers can purchase TransLink cards, BART tickets, Rio Vista Delta Breeze, Baylink Ferry and Vallejo Transit tickets and passes, Regional Transit Connection (RTC) Discount cards for seniors and persons with disabilities, certify for ADA paratransit services and taxi scrip programs offered by Rio Vista Delta Breeze.

Get a Regional Transit Connection Discount Card From The City of Rio Vista
The City of Rio Vista now issues Regional Transit Connection Cards (RTC). These cards allow seniors (age 65 years old and older) and persons with disabilities discounted fares on Rio Vista Delta Breeze and other transit operators in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The cards are $3.00 and an application needs to be filled out. Once approved, a card will be mailed to you within 21 days.
RTC Discount Cards can be obtained at Rio Vista Delta Breeze's Offices located at the Rio Vista Municipal Airport, 3000 Baumann Road, Rio Vista, CA by making an appointment by calling (707) 374-2878 or emailing jandoh@ci.rio-vista.ca.us. Delta Breeze Route 51 serves this facility.
You can also get RTC cards from Tri Delta Transit in Antioch, Vallejo Transit in Vallejo , Benicia Breeze in Benicia and the Suisun/Fairfield Amtrak Station, 177 Main Street, Suisun City.

You can now purchase bus passes at Delta Pharmacy at 401 Main Street in Downtown Rio Vista. Store hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. All Monthly City, InterCity and 10-Ride City and InterCity passes are available.

Delta Breeze staff can train you on how to ride the bus. Mobility Training is available to anyone wanting independence and a lower cost transit trip. Mobility Training will teach you how to board and deboard a bus, access a bus stop and read a bus schedule. Use a Bicycle Locker at the Boat Ramp
Four bicycle lockers are available to rent for free at the Rio Vista Boat Ramp Parking Lot on Front Street near Main Street. Just open the locker, place your bicycle inside. Lock it and go! Storage is only allowed for 24 hours.
